WORKING TO HELP YOU SUCCEED:
During my lending career, I found one of the most rewarding aspects of the job was helping farm families with their credit needs during downturns in agriculture. The stress created by those events, put a tremendous strain on the entire family. Many times the event which triggered the financial stress was the result of something the operators had no control over. A drought, a flood, a change in government policy, and family health issues are just a few of those triggers which create stress on a farm operation.
My job in Agricultural Lending was to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the operation, and restructure the credit to help the operator through those leaner times. I usually tried to point out the strengths of the operation, and encourage the operator to build on those strengths. Sometimes, that assurance was all that was needed to re energize the family. Usually, they could get through this downturn if they all pulled together. I found that most farmers, if given a chance, and if they were committed to the long haul, would go on to overcome the adversity and thrive. While most recovered, a few did not. (If you think you can, or if you think you can't, you are probably right). That is capitalism.
I especially enjoyed helping young farm families grow their operation. I watched as they married, started families, and expanded their farms. That is why I started this business. I have farmed all my life, and I understand the stresses of the business. I have sat on both sides of the desk
My goal at Cornbelt Real Estate & Farm Mgt. LLC, is to assist operators to grow their business, and investors to purchase and lease land to top notch producers.
Agriculture is a cyclical business. It always has been, and always will be. I will not accept an assignment if I feel it is unethical and is unfair to either party.
I would be happy to discuss any opportunity to assist the expansion of land holding for either the operator or investor.
Best wishes for a profitable year!
Land Brokerage:
Our goal is to match progressive farm operators, with land investors. We are looking for people who have a love of the land, who practice good stewardship of the land and water resources. Each party should have a mutual goal of leaving the land in better condition than it was purchased. This should be balanced with maintaining the profitability of the land, and use of sustainable farming practices.

Farm Management:
We offer farm management services to suit your needs. This can be as simple as lease negotiation with tenants, or a comprehensive management service to manage every aspect of the farm. We strive to use good stewardship practices, and work to maximize the potential of the farm.

Financial Consulting:
This service is available to review the farms financial position, and offer suggestions as to changes in the operations financial structure to match cash flow income streams. This could be a restructure of the credit, refinancing of debt to extend terms, or possible sale of unproductive assets. This service is available on an hourly rate, as scheduling allows.

There are some things that you cannot be sure of. You must take a chance. If you wait for perfect weather, you will never plant your seeds. If you are afraid that every cloud will bring rain, you will never harvest your crops. So begin planting early in the morning, and don't stop until evening. You don't know what might make you rich. Maybe everything you do will be successful.
